If you live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and you need laser cutting done fast, then I am your man.
My name is James (Shug) Strachan and I’ve been doing metal fabrication for over 20 years. And in 2020 I purchased a new u-beaut laser cutter that is out of this world. It does an amazing cut (no rough edges) and it’s super-fast. In most cases I can pop out small jobs in a day or so. Timeframe can obviously vary on each job, but I don’t muck about and pride myself on delivering a fast and expert service.
The unit cuts up to 10mm mild steel. The laser bed size is a handy 3m x 1.5m (sheet size 1.2m X 2.4m) so it’s ideal for the majority of small to medium sized jobs. I’m pretty much set up perfectly to look after the small guy. If you don’t need huge pieces of metal cut and don’t have massive volume, I can certainly help you. I also love custom project and one-off jobs (variety is the spice of life)

I offer a free cutting sample (on-site only) so there’s absolutely no confusion about the standard of work I (and my laser cutter) can produce. Give me a call and we can arrange a time for you to pop over to my workshop and I can give you a full rundown and demonstration.
My preference is for you to provide an AutoCAD file (DXF) but I can work with other files like Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw vector files and even image files. If you don’t have a file then don’t worry because I can even work without one and/or create one for you for a small fee.
